The texture is achieved over time and can not be manufactured to the same aesthetic. Each piece of wood is full character and age that brings a depth that only 100+ year old wood can have. The wood was originally inside a plaster wall of a one room schoolhouse. It was naturally aged on one side resulting in the grey-brown tones and the other side absorbed color from the plaster and has a lighter color. The deep black sky adds a bold contrast which allows the mountain to pop against its background.
Size, color and texture will have small variations due to the nature of reclaimed wood.

Can be hung simply from a couple screws. There is a wood support frame along the back that rests flush and securely on your wall. If you prefer to add any hanging hardware, you can be install it to the wood support on the back without risking any damage to the piece.
We use authentic reclaimed wood that is over 100 years old. This wood has so much character that we try to avoid altering the surface when possible. It will have the slightly rough texture of raw wood. We are able to seal the piece with a matte sealer at your request with no extra charge. We use this sealer on our tables and table trays as it has the most minimal color change.

We recommend a light dusting of your piece with a dry duster or clean rag. Heavier cleaning can be done with canned air (that you also use on a keyboard). Liquid or chemical cleaners may alter the color.
